  1. I have twin boys that just turned two, and they are probably the same way. I am a stay at home mom, so they are with me 24/7. When I do leave them with somebody they do cry, but it doesn't last that long. They get sad and upset and cry for me for a while, but as soon as they see some familiar toys, they start to play with each other, and all is well :) I think because they have each other, it is a little bit easier on them. Especially if you are going to watch them more often. They will get used to you! Get down on the floor and play with something you know they really enjoy, that might help to loosen things up a bit :) Coloring and reading books usually helps for my boys! I hope I helped a little. Good luck!! :)

  2. They will cry until one or two minutes after mommy and daddy leave, then they will be fine.  Encourage the parents to say goodbye and leave, then let the kids watch their parents leave.  They will calm down as long as you stay calm.  Remind them, "Mommy and daddy will be back later, but we're going to have fun now!"

I like to just keep talking to them somewhat constantly while we're doing meals or playing.  It helps them get used to you and if they want to hear you, they can't cry or whine or shout.

Singing and making faces constantly is a big crowd-pleaser at this age, as are funny noises (siren sounds, robot beeps, raspberries).  Give them a book or toy to play with when you change their diapers.

Make sure you follow safety stuff like strapping them in high chairs, leaving baby gates closed, etc. because two this age are hard to keep track of.

Keep them busy and hopefully they'll go to bed early out of play exhaustion!

    Hopefully this helps.
