  1. here are some ideas that my 3 years old always has a good time with:

fun but messy - finger painting with chocolate pudding!

have a scavenger hunt with household objects, and a treat to reward them.

make a fort with your dining room table and a blanket. and a tunnel leading to it with the chairs. you can hang out under there and read books, play with trucks, color, etc. a flashlight makes a nice addition.

  2. make fall shapes and cut them out so they can coler them like pumpkins  make letter flash cards and help them to learn what there letters look like. maybe do a b c and d tomorrow

  3. play simple games, like hide and seek, or hide a toy and ask them to find it, giving them clues along the way...or just sing songs and dance or something.

  4. 1.color

    2.play blocks

    3.Hide and seek

    4.riding a bike

  5. Please don't have anyone tie anyone up, as has been suggested :-)

Three year olds have short attention spans! Have a handful of short games and songs to play.

Easiest thing to do first is to get down with them and play with their favorite toys. Thomas trains, cars or whatever they have.

Soon they will let you know when they are finished with that. Next try an active game. Hide and seek is good but often this age isn't very good at it so it doesn't keep them occupied long. Try free dance. I put on "Crazy frog" for my 3 year old off you tube and he LOVES it. He dances like a mad man. When they are all wiggled out go for water and snack break! This engages them and calms them so they can do something else sitting down next.

When snack is done try an easy craft, or coloring... make hand puppets out of paper lunch bags (eyes on the bottom of the bag and the fold is the mouth :-)  )

...or play a stacking game with plastic cups or blocks.

By then they should be ready for some reading stories or a short movie to let them rest and have some quiet time.

The most important thing is to be flexible and move on if one thing isn't working. Move from still games to active ones and back again...

    Good luck!

  6. play jump rope..read to them..play video games(my brother could when he was 3..and he's 4 now so..)...uhh..teach em how to talk a little..if they dont know how..ummm coloring books..arts and crafts...play in back yard..

  7. Coloring is always a big hit or have them help you make a simple cake.

  8. Try differnt crafts. Drawing and such, but minimze use of glue and stickys. Car games are always good as well. Movies are fun for everyone and also find out what they are interested in. Sometimes reading and playing with animals!

  9. toilet paper binoculars, simple and easy......

play clay is fun, or making homemade play dough.....

making shapes in shaving cream spread on tables are fun, um, movies are fun, chalk,

  10. hide and seek, make cookies, cowboys and indians (have them tie each other up in turns), watch cartoon movies.
