Babysitting wages?

Ok, so I'm going to be babysitting 2 eight-year-olds.. a boy and a girl.. from about 5:00 to about 10:30 at night.

How much should i charge? Because I don't want to be greedy, haha.

my friends gets $5 an hour for 2 kids. it seems reasonable.

I would think at least $5 an hour since it is for two kids. All parents are so different though. I babysat for people who paid $10 an hour and another couple who paid $5 an hour. Good luck...I hope you get a good rate.

Usually a professional and highly trained baby sitters charge from $5 to $15 per hour. who knows first aid, choosing safe and age-appropriate toys and games, handling bedtime issues, and more.

If u have started  babysitting only now, $5 is very nominal rate. (fees for long hours or late nights may be higher), special dates such as New Year's Eve, and the number of children. Some babysitters charge an extra dollar or two per hour for each child, over and above their base rate for one child.

Finally, keep in mind that extra responsibilities (such as preparing dinner or other household chores) usually result in extra charges. If you decide to charge extra for specific situations, be sure to include the information

Am a babysitter, i take care only one child . Am jus a beginner. since baby's parents mama is my friend, I charge only $4 per hour. I have not taken this as a profession. Am doing it for my friend. But U will learn a lot.

That depends, what are you bringing to the job. If you are just offering your time, you will make far less than if you have special training IE: CPR, Fist Aid, etc. Have you made any preplanned activities?

Wat i do is i just ask how much they would prefer or you could just do 3 dollars an hour, a simpil price....
