Question:

Bacardi Rum Mix and Question?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I have a bottle of Bacardi (Light-Dry it says), it's 40% alc (75cl).

Some Questions:

1) What is the strongest drink I can get from mixing with this type of Bacardi?

2) And how much of each? (Bacardi and something)

Let's say I have a can of (something), it is easier to measure for me. Eg. Half a can? I'm not too familiar with the measurement

3) How strong exactly is Bacardi + Coke?

I rem once that I randomly mixed 1/3 bottle of Bacardi + a can of coke and I was real tipsy. From the amount i mix, is it enough to get a typical drinker buzzed? (I know it varies among people, i just wanna know how i fare lol and is the amount i mix right)

Thank you for your time!

  1. when you go to the bar and order a bacardi and coke you get 1 ox(1 shot) of liquor and the rest is ice and pop.

you can make your own drinks as strong as you can stand,  the way to get the strongest drink is to drink you liquor straight and chase it with pop.

as for getting people buzzed, in the state of illinois the leagle limit to drive is .08 BAL, which translates to 1 oz. liquor or 10 oz. wine or 12 oz beer in one hour.

but like i said to make your drinks like the bar get a jigger and a 12 oz glass.  fill to the top with ice, add 1 oz liquor and the rest pop, if you want a double add another ounce.

  2. 1) It doesn't matter. 40% means that 40% of the volume is ethanol alcohol. A standard serving is 1.5 fl oz and contains 0.6 fl oz of ethanol. Unless you mix it with another liquor, you will only ever have 0.6 fl oz of ethanol in that serving.

    2) Usually you measure drinks in parts. One part is 1.5oz as a standard, but it can be anthing as long as it is equal amounts.

    1 part Rum

    3 parts Soda

    Could be read as

    1.5 oz Rum

    4.5 oz Soda

    Or

    1 Gallon Rum

    3 Gallons Soda

    Get it?

    3) That would depend on how much rum you added. If you had 1/3 a bottle that would be about 9 oz of rum.

    9 x 0.40 = 3.6 oz of ethanol... 2.4 regular servings.

    4) You should be drinking for taste...not intoxication. Getting drunk is a bonus.
