How could this be true and why if it is NOT true would the purposely mislead you that way? Also, what is the correct calorie count if it has 0/0?

  1. Atually the bacardi has about 80 calories an ounce.  The Bacardi web site says zero carbs, zero sugar.  It does not mention calories.

  2. anything that has less than 1 carb per serving can say 0 carb.

bacardi's servings is 1 oz... don't know many people that just drink 1 oz of bacardi.  I would say you will likely get a few carbs from an average drink though.

  3. While the initial concoction has no calorie or carb content, the problem arises when your body goes to break down the alcohol; it converts the alcohol to sugars, which -- as a general rule -- are carbs...AND calories.

It makes people *feel* better to think that they're drinking a "responsible" drink on a diet, but in reality they're not doing anything good at all...except having a good time.
