http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 full-back and French international, Bacary Sagna has gone on to state that he is more than confident over the fact, that both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas will be staying at the Emirates for at least another season.
Sagna and Nasri have managed to fly with the Arsenal squad for their tour of Far East Asia, while Fabregas had to stay back in London, due to a hamstring injury, but he is set to re-join the pre-season training, once the team returns from Asia.
Sagna, when talking about the duo and their future is quoted to have said: “On my holidays the English press said [Fabregas] has to leave, but it's entirely wrong.”
“We said we'd understand if he wanted to go back to his country, but he never said he wanted to leave. He's happy and very glad to play for Arsenal.
“He's still our http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314. Of course he didn't travel [to Asia]. He's an Arsenal player. The important thing is the team and giving his best.
“When I left he was at the training ground. I'm looking forward to playing with him next year.”
Sagna then turned his attention to Nasri, who has also been linked with a move away from the club and went on to state: “Yeah of course. If he's here it means a lot. He's really focused and ready to start the season like he did last year.
“There's always been speculation in football. You can't stop it. You have to deal with it. It's not a problem.”
Fabregas was rumoured to be on the brink of joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 this summer. The Catalans had made a bid worth around twenty seven million pounds for the midfielder, only to have it turned down by the Gunners. However, the team were expected to come back with a new and improved bid in the near future, which is something, that has not yet happened.
Nasri, who has only one year left n his contract with the Gunners, has not been able to agree on a new deal to extend his stay with the team, as yet. The midfielder has stated that he would like to play for a team that is going to win trophies, so that he may someday compete for the player of the year award.
Manchester City, Manchester United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 were being hailed as the favourites to land the midfielder, however, at the moment it seems like Nasri isn’t going anywhere.
With both the players seemingly not looking to switch clubs all of a sudden, it seems like the Gunners might just be operating at maximum capacity this coming season.
