Question:

Bachelor of Environmental Science with a Concentration in Chemistry?

I am considering this program but I have been doing some research and have had trouble finding any high paying jobs. I have come across the position of a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist which I find interesting. Does anyone have any advice regarding careers associated with this field of study that pay in the six figure salary range after experience? Any advice would be appreciated. Is there anyone that is currently enrolled in a similar program that could share their future plans? Thanks!

  1. Instaed of the major in Environmental Science, you should do Chemistry and then go into research on environmetnal issues.  There are tons of 6 figure jobs for people with advanced chemistry degrees that work towards improving nature.

  2. Six figures?

If you're only interested in making six figures, get a degree in computer science and go work for Google.  You're not going to make six figures in the environmental industry.

Of course, you should base your career choice on what subject you find interesting, not where you're going to make six figures.  Plenty of people make six figure salaries and are miserable because their jobs are too stressful or unrewarding.

  3. Most pharmacists make 6 figure salary.
