Question:

Bachelor party etiquette

I have a friend who is getting married in a week. We are throwing a bachelor party at the same time the bachelorette party is taking place.

Probably in the same house. (It's a 13,000 sq. foot house)

If we hired a stripper, it could come across poorly to the bride to be, even though she will be throwing the traditional bachelorette party with the usual things present.

How do you think we could pull this off? What should we do?

Thank you for your suggestions.

  1. Bring the stripper in through the back door, and lock all doors going to the room you will be in

  2. Just get him a stripper, and tell his bride-to-be to p**s off for being such a heavy.

  3. Hmmm...well, my FI is not having a stripper and they are going ATV riding, wine tasting, out to dinner, and then to a casino.

You could play poker, go fishing or golfing, go to a club. For his brother's bachelor party, they played paintball, went to dinner, and then out to a club.

  4. Maybe you should invite the bride to be and the other Bachelorettes to come watch the show. If they are a part of it, they can't get mad.

  5. Well, this is how we did it in the same house.  The kitchen was considered "neutral" ground and was open to everyone.  One living room was for the girls and the other (basement/game room) was for the guys.  The girls got to do the girly, gifts, games, etc and the guys, hung out, played cards, darts, etc for the first half of the night.  Then everyone intermixed for food and the rest of the evening.  You don't have to have it completely separate all night.  And as far as making it a "real" bachelor party, the whole point is to hang out with your friends and do whatever the groom wants, so as long as that is happening it is a bachelor party, there are no set ways to have one.

  6. how about p**n and chicken night? LOL just kidding .. well .. maybe not so much of a joke. Some people that I know love to rent a good p**n movie and order chicken appetizers from Domino's or KFC :-P

If that's not your style, then maybe throw some poker party, add some really good cigars for everyone to try, and of course good alcoholic drinks.

What else you can do at home? How about barbecue party?

Most of bachelor parties that I know are usually bar hopping in nearby big city, and then finished up with really good 3am meal at local diner or places like IHOPS.

  7. My fiance had his bachelor party at my house while I slept. (It's only 1,300 square foor! hehe). They played beer bong in the yard, then went down in the basement and played poker. Of course they drank a lot and some ended up staying overnight. I know my fiance really enjoyed his party.

  8. 1. Get out of town and get a hotel room

  9. If she has a problem with her fiance around a stripper,he should respect her feelings. But if she doesnt get bothered by it,why hide the stripper. Most men have strippers and if your friend is a real man he would be honest with her.

  10. You should ask her. Be honest because if you just do it and try to hide it, she'll be mad and it would probably cause problems with her and her guy.
