planning a Vegas trip with my gals. My parents will be paying for the hotel and will be using there car to fit all the girl's in one car. Since most of them are students and they are taking time off work to come with me. Should I get them gifts as well? my MOH said no, since they do not have to pay for the hotel and car rental. Please advise.

  1. I think that the free trip to Vegas is the gift

  2. I wouldn't,  the trip is plenty as far as I am concerned.

You didn't mention who was paying for the food, but that is a good idea if you are not. I don't know if you and the girls talked about the food and who is paying, but if it was agreed it was them, pick up one of the tabs for supper, that would be a extra unexpected gift. I would welcome that far more than some silly hat or tee shirt I will never wear again[and perhaps be embarrassed to wear].

A nice touch would be a silly souvenir of low cost to remember the trip by. A thank you card might could be a Las Vegas postcard of the hotel you stayed in, and the thank you for going to Vegas with me  written on it.

  3. Hmmm.   My MOH and bridesmaids treated me for my bachelorette.  I didn't pay for a thing.  They also gave me presents as well.  I have never been to a bachelorette party where the bride gave out gifts.  I did however give my bridesmaids gifts at the rehearsal dinner.

  4. we're doing a similar thing (staying overnight at a spa) which i am paying for i just got these they weren't expensive but i love them

they each got a different one

  5. I agree with your MOH, buying something extra is probably not necessary. However, if you wanted to do something a little extra to thank them and didn't want to spend any more money, you could always write them each a personal thank you letter or poem telling them how much it meant to you that they were a part of your day.

  6. Heck, a trip to Vegas that woulds be gift enough.

  7. If you have the money then go for it... But if you dont a trip will be great!

  8. I wouldn't get them anything. Maybe if you feel so inclined you could buy a special round of drinks, or a bottle of wine at dinner. I agree with your MOH, smart girl!Your parents are being really awesome by springing for the hotel and letting you use their car!
