I can do a back handspring without a spot on a trampoline, and also on a cheese mat. How much harder would it be for me to do a back handspring on the ground with out a spot ( I already can do it with a spot) also, any advice on back handsprings would be really nice [:

  1. you are just afraid of jumping back just like me i had the same problem i used to do back handspring in ground but i was afraid to do it in concret i say do a round off and do back handspring suddenly trust me its going to help you

  2. i would say start with a spot then have them slowly start spotting you less. it all depends on your confidence and if you bail in the middle of your back handspring, hope i helped

  3. normally that means you  are getting really close!

the main difference between a "cheese mat" (more commonly known as a wedge) is that you have to jump MUCH harder. but when you have confidence on a wedge you have confidence on a floor

  4. doing a backhandspring on the ground is really easy!when your on the cheese mat doing them try to work your way down the mat to the floor.all you have to do is go for it.& as long as you do what your supposed to do you'll be able to do it on the ground in no time!

    hope this helps =)

  5. A little harder. I'm not going to lie your going to need extra power and confidence to do it. Anyone who says it just as easy as lying. i bet though soon you'll be able to do your back handspring on the ground though alone.

  6. You are very close now! :^)

Concentrate on doing jump back drills since starting the BHS on the floor is the hardest part.

  7. It takes a lot of strength. You have to push off harder and be sure to get your chest up.
