Back Hatch stuck on 2001 chev blazer?

Is there an emergancy release for the back hatch/tailgate on a chev blazer 2001? No manual with blazer. It makes a noise so I do not think it is a fuse

  2. Nope..it does not have any type of emergency pull release.
