You can log in to the administrator account by pressing f8 when the windows screen is still black. When in safe mode you will see all the accounts you have created and the administrator account that only appears when in safe mode.

If you're looking for a means of accessing your own computer when you're away, you could try LogMeIn. It's a decent web service that's pretty much free. It requires you to download a client, however. See attached for full details.
