Back handspring drills???

does anyone know some good back handspring drills? i have a tumbling mat. i'm pretty sure i can still do it but i want to be positive. thank you for your answer. i appreciate it. 10 pts for the best one with the most drills and information. ♥

  1. well this is what we do at my tumbling class:

      you can do this on your bed if its tall. So put your hands up by your ears and then swing them back and jump back on to the bed so you land flat on your back.


  2. Well  if you want to be sure make sure u do drills not only for your backhandspring but also for your back. So why not do 25 arch rocks and arch ups. to do these exersises lie flat on your stomach lift both arms and legs up at the same time then back down for arch ups and lift arms and legs up and rock back and forth for arch rocks.

    dow for drills you can do some bridges. When I was a gymnast we used to(WITHOUT JUMPING) lean back like doing a back bend and then we would lift the legs over and pull are arms up! so you are basically doing a backhandspring without the spring! You can also practice the first formation and the jump back by standing with a soft landing like a bed behind you. Squat like you normally do and jump back landing with your hands by your head and you in a hollow body position.
