any idea where I can get plans/blueprints to make another. Grandpa has died and no one knows what he did with those old plans. It was made out of 1/4 inch plywood and could hold a 25 hp motor and only 1 person.

  1. www.glenl.com. You will find what you need.

  2. Be orginal and design one yourself like gp did.

  3. E bay. My cousin made one of those, it may nave been the fastest 9.9 hp boat in the world.

Sorry this is not a good project for a beginner though. Your GranPa might have found the plans in Popular Mechanics

  4. I grew up in the 70's, there were a few left, I was lucky enough to get a ride in one as a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, they pretty much got replaced by "Jerk Ski's" ! I'm sure there are plans around, it's not like a "Bi-PLANE" (YET), amazing what speed can be had on such a small hull without much H.P...

  5. In the 60s I built one and ran a 13 hp Wizard motor on it.  It would fly with a 13 hp.  If a wave was higher than 6 inches it would go through it instead of over it.  You had to wear a swim suit when running.

I sold mine to a young man and he put a rack on top of his small car and put the boat on the rack.  That night it flooded, the boat filled up with water and crushed the top of his car in.  He was sick.  I felt sorry for him to.

    I have the plans.

    I accept contacts.

    Contact me.

  6. by typing into yahoo search hydroplanes i got this web site.

    http://www.seawingboats.co.uk/plans_for_...

and instead of asking us. you could have done the same thing. and gotten the same answer. so basicly im saying dont be lazy and have others do for you but do for yourself first. and then if all else failes then ask someone for help.

you can do. if you think you cant do. then be a reporter and tell what others do.
