  1. Yes, but also had other effects as well.

    Scarlet fever  is basically strep throat to us now a days back then they called it Scarlet fever.This also had a rash the toxins go into a persons blood  stream this circulates threw-out the body causing injury, distant from the infection. The toxins cause skin to turn a dark red( like a real bad sunburn).It itches,the throat hurts,and throat  covered in pus. Fever starts and range from 101 degrees to higher.

    Fevers,Intense heat, dry heat,throat pain,hard to swallow,throat swollen,tonsil is swollen, hoarseness, rash,red,lips cracked mouth so if your body and mouth and throat was in this shape i do believe you would have a huge change to your voice as well.

    A Mr. Samuel Hannemann found a cure for this Scarlet Fever.
