Back of my neck really hurts!?

Well ever sience I started doing my mershindising job about a week ago, the back of my neck really hurts. It's only on one side in the same spot. It now hurts to bend it or move it. And I know why it hurts it's because I've been doing a lot of heavy lifting at work. But my question is is what might be the actual problem, and what can I do about it so the pain stops? I know for sure I can not quit my job, and I am currently using icey hot cream, and I've tryed a hot water bottle on it, and I've tryed rubbing alchohol. Are there any other suggestions you can think of? Please help! Thank you!

  1. Try a deep massage, you can even do it yourself but try to rub it really hard to relieve tension. Also to stretch the neck muscles have someone grab your head at the bottom of the neck and pull, it should feel good and a stretch for your neck.

  2. there's this roll on jell u roll on muscles and places that hurt.

you can get at any drug stores/grocery stores maybe.

maybe get a heating pack or ice pack.

do some neck exercises and use medicine.

    HOPE THIS HELPS!

  3. a nice hot bubble bath normally does the trick cos it will loosen up ur muscle on ur neck.

  4. MSM (if it doesn't raise your blood pressure), which takes away swelling, thereby improving circulation while taking the pressure of the affected nerves.  Get a quality brand---not a drug-store variety, which from my experience is not very water soluble.

EFT---a technique involving accupressure, that is easy & free to learn, online.  Several sites now have EFT instructions, but probably the most detailed is on the founder's (Gary Craig's) Website, to which there is a link on the following site:

    EFT UK

    - Emotional Freedom Techniques UK

    -  Universal Healing Aid > anxieties > stress > pain > etc

Watch the video, & surf the site...

I've personally seen it drop: my BP, Respiration Rate, & Heartbeat to normal --all at the same time-- within 2 minutes (I was hooked up to moniters at the time).  I didn't know what the normal numbers were, but they dropped & stopped when I applied EFT.  And, when the Dr & nurses checked, they always said that I was "absolutely normal"!  (I was in the ER, so they found that unusual, & said so---so I told them some about it.)

Won't it be nice when the following comes to pass!?:

"Look! The tent of God is with mankind...

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and neither will death , nor mourning, nor outcry, *nor pain* be anymore. The former things have passed away." --Revelation 21:3,4

  5. If you can afford it treat yourself to a massage. When doing heavy lifting take notice of your posture & follow correct lifting procedures, bends knees etc.You could of jinked your neck & have a nerve pinching. If you do have a massage make sure they are part of the Natural Therapies association.
