Back packing in Australia. What type of clothes would you wear for interviews for casual jobs?

as smart as you have bearing in mind you are back packing. you still want to make a good impression and present yourself well.

they wont be expecting suit and tie etc .  however turning up late in shorts probabley wont cut any ice.

i would say khaki pants with a polo shirt, this is for casual jobs right, because if not go with a suit and tie.
