Question:

Back pain and throwing up!?

I've had back pain now for a couple of hours and I took some regular strength tylenol, but it didn't do anything. I'm limited to what I can take because I take medicine for my blood pressure. I also took a hot shower and let the water hit my back. Then I layed flat on the floor and that didn't help. The heating pad isn't helping either. I can't leave for a store because I have a preemie daughter and cant get her out of the house this late. I'm by myself because my husband is gone with the Army. I've thrown up twice in the last 10 minutes. I'm not pregnant and there's no possibility of that. Any idea on what this might be and any help on how to relieve this back/side pain without any medicine would be very helpful. Thank you!

  1. you could be suffering from a kidney infection or a kidney stone, which means that you should go to the nearest ER.  You could try motrin, but if the tylenol didn't work this probably won't either and besides that it will upset your stomach.  The vomiting is probably from the pain.  I would suggest that you go to the ER.
