Question:

Back problems from swimming?

I have been swimming almost everyday in the summers for the past 6 years and on and off in the rest of the year. I am not competitive, i just do it to stay fit. This year my back hurts a few hours after swimming... as if i had been streching or bending it too much. Do you think my body position in the water is bad? or is this normal?

  1. I'm not an expert on swimming & i wish i can help & give u better advice.  I do hope that this probalem gets better soon. Hope u had a Happy 4th of July.

  2. There is a possibility you are lifting your head too high on free which could cause some back issues.  A lot of breaststroke could strain your back as well.  If you do some core strengthening (sit ups) that should help your back for swimming.
