I have the Bose speakers with the two little speakers on top of each other (for each speaker)...I believe it's refered to as a 6.1?? cause it has 6 speakers (6 of two...let me know if that isn't clear...)

Anyway, I have just about never gotten the back speakers to work. Every time I go to BB to get help, I am told to get different stuff, (new reciever, new wires, new cables...). THe other day I went there and got a whole new setup with everything but speakers, (yamaha receiver, pioneer plasma tv, hd dvd player, etc...). I STILL can't get the back speakers to make any sound. I ran the test on the receiver (where you put the microphone in the middle of the room and run a test that checks all the speakers. First, it said all were working except there were no back speakers. Then I reran it and it said there is no front left speaker. My front right is the only one making sound but yesterday it was only the front left. What can I do? Does anyone have a similar set up and have

  1. Are you sure your wiring is OK?

Disconnect ALL speakers from the amp.

Take a battery and connect it to the speaker wires of each speaker. Do you hear a sound? If yes, the speaker is OK, if not then some wire is lose or the speaker is dead.

Try it with all your speakers. If all work, connect them to your receiver.  It should work. If not call the Qeek squad to do the installation.

  2. Its 5.1 . Chances are, you have 5 speakers, plus subwoofer, which is the .1 . I dont know whats wrong, just letting you know.
