Back to reality today and it feels scary?

I've just had a nice week off work and it has been heaven being able to spend time with family and not feel stressed.

I'm due back at work today and the stress is already with me and i feel heartbroken having to go back.

Am already trying to find another job but there is not much about.

How do you cope with returning to wrok but dreading it?

    I worked at a job for 7 years. 5 years were great, then management drastically changed. I cried for over a year and actually got clinically depressed and PTSD from the cruel things going on at work. I had nightmares so it was like I was always there in my mind.

    I don't know how bad it is for you but it sounds bad. No job is worth those kind of feelings. I finally quit, since I was being forced out. At first I was scared. There aren't many counseling jobs in my small town and as it was I traveled an hour each way. Well I ended up going to therapy because work made me sick literally. I did get another job and it wasn't easy but at least I wasn't crying daily. Eventually I simply became 62 and retired.

    Your story will be different but one commonality regardless is the fact you are miserable. Please take that as a sign to move on. 40 hours a week of misery isn't worth a pay check. You will find another job. Start looking now and you won't feel so powerless. You aren't stuck even if you feel like you are. You deserve happiness but you will have to get it for yourself. Please get out of the rut. Don't suffer as long as I did. God bless you on your journey.


  2. its like being forced to go to school when your not in the mood you basically have to go to work and put a smile on your face.the bad thing about dreading something is the day goes by really slowly but you just have to cope. good luck :)

  3. I can relate to this.  I believe the answer is to find something positive about work and then everynight before getting home think about something good that has happened at work that day it can be as little as someone asking you how you are or sharing something special with you.

    If you find something nice daily it sure helps;  Good luck  

  4. hiya, do you remember school, at the end of the summer break, you had to go back to school. well just remember that feeling and remember how you dealt with it, just go back to work with a smile on your face, it just takes alot of getting used to, yes i know cuz i have to go back to school at the end of summer hols. but just don't worry.
