Back to school ideas!?

Question

ok i'm in 11th grade, a junior.

and i just moved to a new city.

soo. i will be going to a new school.

i know some people who go there, but they are all a couple years younger than me. i want to make an amazing first impression to everyone in my classes.

fashion wise, and personality wise.

so i need some help deciding what to wear, how to do my hair, and how i should act to make some friends.

hair wise; its brown, and i can do prettymuch anything to it. it's about 4-5 inches below my shoulders. so it's pretty long.

fashion wise; i'm up for prettymuch anything. i like to be unique with my clothes, and i would like to look fun and approachable.

personality wise; i just want to make some nice friends. i only have a few good ones, and obviously they arent going to go to my new school.

so any ideas will be just awesome! i need to know for the first day / week.

and if you answer my question and provide a link, i'll try my best to answer one of yours.

but don't just provide me with a lowsy answer because.

Hair & Make-Up: I would say don't try to hard with your hair. Maybe just straighten it or scunch it? Or put it up in a cute loose ponytail :)

Don't but to much makeup on, maybe just a little eyeline and cover up and you'll be good. Or if you don't feel comfortable with make-up, don't wear any :)

Personality: Just be yourself :) don;t act like someone your not just to make friends. Just be nice and smile. Say hi to people who say hi to u. its ok if you don't talk, its fine being shy your first week :)

alrightt. you ready for this? lmfao. some people might tell you to wear all hollister, or abercrombie clothes... but honestly, i dont think you should. some people who cant afford clothes like that might be intimidated to approach you, thinking you're the s****. rich type. and also, everyone wears those clothes. try to be unique. you can try wearing one article of clothing that's a brand, but make sure not to flaunt it. just try some skinny jeans, and a baggy shirt. wear a sinch so that you get an hourglass figure. try some cute flats with it. i have a pair of Volcom Creedler flats with a print on it, and they look good with just about everything.

as for you hair.. EVERYONE wears it straight. it's getting annoying. i have the same type of hair as you- same color and everything. try this: open a curling iron. take a small section of your hair and wrap it around the hot part of it. hold the end of your hair there for about 20 seconds- DO NOT CLOSE THE IRON ON YOUR HAIR- and let it go. voila. nice curls. :]

be confident, and outgoing. just be yourself. people will love you for who you are. :]

For your hair you could always curl it or scrunch it that looks really pretty, if you like to be unique try some skinny jeans with cute heels and a graphic tee- shirt like check out wet seal, forever 21 or even like macy's or sears they all have cute t-shirts. If you don't want to go that out there, Just try some jean shorts knee high socks with sneakers (if thats too much just wear flip-flops) and a v-neck shirt with a really cool necklace sorry there are no links but pretty much you can be very creative with these and look amazing =)

You sound like you have a really positive attitude about this move and really want to make the most of it.  There's no complaining about having to change schools and make new friends.  Good for you!  That attitude alone is a huge key to making that impression you want.  

The #1 thing to do to make friends is to really ask people about themselves and listen when they talk.  The favorite thing people like to talk about is themselves.  If you get them talking all about themselves, they will leave thinking YOU are the most interesting person they've met.  If, on the other hand, you are so busy trying to impress them, they'll see right through you and leave thinking you are fake and full of yourself.  

These kids don't know you, so everything in your wardrobe is new to them.  Just pick out something you love that you know is going to fit in at this school.  You can take a walk through the local mall and see what the other kids your age are wearing to know if you're contemplating social suicide via fashion statement or not.  (Just wondering about how unique you're talking)  ; )

Just be yourself, first impression is important people are really going to judge who you are in the beginning but don't be intimated just look above that.

Fashion wise, wear what you want, maybe just try some random outfits on maybe not even think about what you're doing. sometimes the best things come from doing this.

Good luck though, I'm actually moving to a new school when I'm in 11th grade.

omg. im going to a new school district to!

you could do i am doing, im just going to dress and act how i normally do, so im straighting my hair, wairing a pair or shorts, with either a band t or a hco shirt. lol. im amazing.

and personality wise, just be yourself, dont act liek someone ur not. thats lame =] =]

just be yourself, work with what you got. look the best you possibly can and just be social with everyone.  

and dont look like your trying to impress everyone
