Back to school stuff in Lebanon, why so expensive????

Backpack, books, pens and uniforms...more than 500USD for 2 kids...how will parents afford that?

Many won't be able to afford it but the benefit of large families is that things get handed down ....

Over here we have book clubs where schools have the text books & you pay a fee to use them each year instead of everyone having to buy them ...that is a huge saving ! If you don't have one , why not have a talk to your schools & see if it's viable .

Backpacks should last year to year but alas  . kids grow so fast that things like shoes  are an ongoing expense you can do nothing about !

Oh,  how I remember all this well !

you are lucky that still can afford it.....if you cant do it  next years...move here..it's still a bit cheaper than there.

Even...most of our education is for free from primary till college...if you dont want to send ur kids to private universities......and public ones are so good.

they don't afford it!!! but they have to pay all that!!
