Back up Lts on my 90'Silverado are coming on when I hit my Brake Pedal,now what.?

It started when I had no Brake Lts.Checked that fuse it was good.Come to find out my Emergency Flashers are on the same circuit.Checked that fuse & sure enough it was blown.Replaced it & now I have brake Lts,But the backup Lts come on too.Signals & running Lts work fine.What now? Befuddled.

Sounds like you have a short to power on your reverse lights and it's coming from your brake light input.

Go to autozone,they sell new circuit boards for your tailights that don't cost much.

It is the most common problem i've seen on these is the tailight board shorting.

Easy fix,remove tailight and remove a few screws from it and s***w in new one..

Your circuit definitely has a short. get a wiring diagram and test the circuit out.

I would look for a bad ground connection at the lights.Somehow your brake lites are feeding the back up lites looking to complete the circut.

check the curcuit boards in tail lights one could be shorting out
