I need help NOW! I'm only 11, I can do a back bend, but when it comes a back walkover, it's impossible! I tried with my feet on a raised surface but I'm too afraid I'm going to break my neck! Help!

After I learn my back walkover, can anyone tell me how to do a back handspring!

Most helpful answer gets 10 stars!

I need them in 3 or 4 months!

  1. 2 do a back walkover, start w/ 1 foot out in front of you and go back like ur gonna do a backbend but do it reeeaaallllyyy fast so u get enough momentum to get over! Can u do backbend kick-overs??? those r good practice 4 helping u 2 do back walkovers. =) 2 do a backhandspring, jump backwards while swinging ur arms back. b sure to keep ur arms straight and try not to arch ur back too much and try to allign ur arms w/ ur ears when ur hands touch the ground. to practice, do handstand snap-downs (do a handstand and push off the ground and snap down) Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! =D

  2. im not really sure how to tell you how to do a back walkover its something you just have to try over and over

for a backhandspring you first slightly bend your knees at the same time have your arms in a swinging position (kinda behind your back) then jump backwards and have your hands reach for the ground (at this point you should be in a hand stand position then slap your legs down.

i hope this is helpful its kinda hard to explain with examples. there are a lot of websites like cheerwiz.com that can help you

  3. Back walkovers are impossible for me too! Back handsprings on the other hand is just like a back bend but you jump.
