  1. Here's how I learned: First go into your back bend. Practice kicking your leg over... if you can't, get someone to spot you or prop your legs onto a couch or the wall. Once you get the movement down from the back bend position, try it from a standing position. Eventually it will happen, you just have to condition your muscles to do it!

  2. have someone help you...have them pick up your leg

  3. you shouldn't try to go right over alone have someone as strong as you to support your lower back and the first leg to go over. Do a back bridge with your toes pressed against the wall and move your feet up the wall a few steps gradually putting all your weight on to your arms. Stop and take one  foot off the wall and use the other foot to kick off and let both legs go over your head. It's like doing a back walkover but starting at an easier point. Just keep on doing this until you get used to it and then try doing a back bridge with your legs on a bed or table or something and kicking over. Once you feel comfortable try it on a flat surface but make sure you've got some one to spot you. remember to stretch because you need flexibility to do a walkover. good luck. =]

  4. You should start off using a cheese mat, then as you get better start off in a crabs bend then try to flip over with straight legs.  You'll get it eventually.  You'll have to get perfect splits on the ground first if you want to have perfect splits in your back walkover lol.

  5. with all things gym related its about the strength...you need to strengthen your stomach muscles and your bottom muscles as its the strength in these 2 areas that control your kick-over. You mustcontrol your drop back, raise your lead leg high & straight - squeeze those tummy muscles and pull your hips over and down.......many many many weeks of helping my daughter do her 1st back walkover when she was 5.
