  1. It depended on what generation of the Royal family they were.

A general title for all women related to the royal family (by blood) was Princesse de le sang.

Daughters of the French King were titled, La enfant de France.

Daughters of the King's younger brothers were titled, La petite fille de France.

Women who married into the royal family (and were therefore not related) were titled, Princesse real.

    Hope this helps,

    Peace!

  2. Madame Royale (Royal Lady) was a style customarily used for the eldest living daughter of a reigning French monarch. The style was customarily held until the end of the reign of the parent or until her marriage. This title came into existence when Queen Henrietta Maria (1609-1669), another daughter of King Henry IV of France, and the wife of King Charles I of England (1600-1649), wanted to imitate in the Kingdom of England the way in which the eldest daughter of the sovereign in France was styled Madame Royale.

Other daughters of a French monarch would used the title Fille de France ("Daughter of France"). Both males and females enjoyed the style of Royal Highness. Although the children of French monarchs are often referred to as prince or princess in English, those titles were never officially used in France during the monarchy.

The courtesy title of prince was often given to a prince of the blood. The female equivalent of a courtesy title of prince is princess. But then this title is also generally used for the spouse of any prince, of the blood, or of a principality, and also the daughter of any monarch.

Note: The Dauphin of France was the title given to the heir apparent of the throne of France from 1350 to 1791, and from 1824 to 1830. It is the English equivalence of "Prince of Wales." The feminine version of the French heir title is The Dauphine of France, which is bestowed upon the wife of the Prince. Daughters of a monarch were NOT given that title. Same with the courtesy title of "Princess of Wales." These titles were only reserved for the “wives of the heir apparent to the throne.”

  3. Dauphine.  Trust me.  This is correct!  The Prince was the Dauphin, and the princess, Dauphine.

  4. princesse du sang royal de France

  5. Hilary, the Dauphin was the prince royal, or the one destined to become king next.  Since there was never a time when there wasn´t a male heir, there was never a Dauphine.

L'enfante  or Princesse, depending on her status, as child of or sister of the king.

At some point (marriage?) she might become a Duchesse.

  6. A parasite.
