Hi

I just posted another question related to this but have another query so... forgive me

I just wondered... My child was born last Oct but I am still yet to claim my child tax credit. If I do it now will I get backdated from now back to Oct or just 3 months backdated...?

Thanks again!

  1. You can only back date upto three Months. It takes about 4 weeks just to see if you will be backdated. It wont take that long to receive you tax credits though.

Only once they have processed your tax credits can you apply for it to be backdated as well. Its a c**p system. Thats why so many people complain

  2. 3 months is the maximum permitted by law
