Question:

Background checks? Overqualified for entry, near entry roles?

I have been told I am overqualified for many entry or near positions. I have been thinking about leaving my Masters Degree off of my resume. I need to get my foot back in the door because my savings are next to nothing. If I have an advanced degree, from the same school where I earned my Bachelors Degree, will the company find out I also have an advanced degree, when they do a background check. I would be applying at a large national corporation.

  1. Overqualified means that they just want some idiot that they can pay pennies to.  Just keep trying.  Maybe a temp agency.
