Backhanddspring trouble?

ohkay, like i can do backbends and stuff its just my mind is afraid to go back !?

what can i do i wanna learn a roundoff backahndspring first

  1. it would be easy-er if you did a standing back handspring.

    and then move up to a roundoff one.

    when i first learned mine i was scared to.

    and i wouldnt do it.

    but after i got my head thinking that i wont

    hurt my self i did it.

    it might help to have spoters help you.

  2. a backhand spring is a basic element of gymnastics. The most important thing you can do is follow your hands and keep your arms locked. If you do this, the worst than can happen is that you will land on your knees. If it's your first attempt, make sure you have a spotter. you just act like you're sitting in a chair, arms out in front of you, palm down. Then you swing down and up and keep your hands by your ears. Just watch your hands and keep yourself tight :]

  3. you just have a back bend, then get a back walkover, than front walkover, than standing back handspring, than round-off backhandspring. You don't have to learn them in order, but it helps to have the fundamentals down. It'll take you some time to get your round-off back handspring. Take a gymnsatics class and get spotted by a professional.

  4. you know those big triangle foam things?

    get one of those and put it behind you (base of traingle facing you) start jumping bak like your going to do a handspring.. ul just jump onto the foam box and eventually your mind will get used to the hole jumping bak thing! then do back bends and with feet together jump them over! keep doing this and try getting quicker and quicker, when you feel compfortable to try one! MAKE SURE THERE IS A SPOTTER!  :)

  5. You need a trainer dont do this stuff on your own, BUt if you really need to but im telling you its not a good idea, start on a trampoline and once you have good form and you can rebound off a tampoline, then do it on the ground and just push ten times harder,
