  3. Firstable you should have a DVD Writer Drive to burn/write data or anything to a DVD. Not the regular DVD Drive.

A DVD Writer drive usually packaged with software to burn the data. Mine has Ahead Nero. So use your Packaged Software or Ahead Nero to burn the data to DVD.

If you have OS Installer CD, then you can format the harddive then Reinstall it.

    Hope this help,

  4. be careful when you back up your data to a dvd, be VERY careful, make at least two copies (3 is better) ot every dvd you burn, more so if the dvd contains a large unbrocken file (anything over 300mb). why, because DVD's have the annoying ability to s***w up. never ever keep only one copy of your info on just one disc.

about software, well now your in trouble. some software will install itself entirely into its folder in 'Program Files' (games usually do this with only the profile's being stored in the user folders), however things like photoshop can have files spread out everywhere throughout your computer from the program files to countless dll's in the system 32 folder, and then there are the registry entries which are almost impossible to track down. so basically, unless you have the disc or a disc image, your probably not going to get it to work afterward... sorry

edit: and that also applies to things like Microsoft word.. or anything with the prefix 'Microsoft' really...

oh and yeah. the fireworks were awesome but some how i don't think you will be able to see much tomorrow
