Backroad Ace eying glory in Owners´ Bonus Series - Heat 1
Backroad Ace will be looking to use all his experience in order to succeed in the Owners´ Bonus Series - Heat 1 at Romford in England on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He has been performing well with consistency over the past few months and has got a solid
chance of shining in the Grade A2 contest.
There are a few good runners attracted towards the 400 metres event, which is scheduled to start at 21:09 GMT. The winner will get a cash prize of £116 in the end, thus all of the greyhounds will be battling extremely hard for glory.
According to the bookmakers, the real competition will be amongst Nosey Be Billy and Galtee Alfie, as they are very good runners. Therefore, both of them have been rated as the favourite to succeed. They will enter the event with a starting price of 3 to
1 and will definitely get the attention of the punters.
The former of the above two hounds seems to be in a better shape at the moment, as he did a reasonable job in his most recent Grade A2 outing. He was not rated as the favourite to succeed, but still gave a tough time to his opponents. He started off really
well and led the race at one point as well.
However, things got away from the M. Lucas’ trainee towards the end and he had to settle for third place in the end. He will be hoping for a better show this around in order to make his fans happy.
On the other hand, Backroad Ace will be in a very good position to attack the joint favourite greyhounds. He is a highly competitive runner and has been given a general starting price of 4 to 1. Importantly, he will be breaking into the event from trap number
six, which will allow him an opportunity to gain early momentum.
The black dog did a very good job in his most recent outing and finished as a runner up in it. He was unable to cause any problems for the winner back then, but will be looking to make an improvement this time around at Romford.
