Question:

Backwashing an above ground swimming pool?

We bought a pool, we have it installed, and when we go to backwash, there is no hose, so it shoots out the side of the pump. We live in a small neighborhood and the houses are close together.

Do you have any suggestions on how we could safely backwash without hurting our property, or the property of those around us.

  1. Most pool filters do not have a hose for back-flushing. I added one to mine with a clamp so I could direct the flow where I wanted it.

  2. I agree. Attach a hose to the outlet of your filter. You will be able to send it whereever you like, like next door.

  3. the pool I had used the hose that was hooked to the vacuum

brush just take off the brush and connect it to your backflush outlet
