  1. Do you know how much up keep a putting green needs?

I doubt it if your asking random people on line how much top soil to be using.

How are you going to cut the grass once, or should I say if it starts growing?

  2. It is a question about golf? Or you chose the wrong catalogue?

  3. honestly i would suggest a synthetic one i know that's not what you wanna  here but they are so much easier to keep you dont need to worry about chemicals while your on vacation you don't need to mow it nothing but if your interested feel free to email me and ill tell you how to build a synthetic one

  4. I have had 3 putting greens at my differant houses that I have lived in.

    costs:

you have to figure $650 minimum for your mower. I like the Toro Greensmaster's.

    grass roller

a decent grass roller is about $200

You don't need a sprinkler system as you will need to hand water the green every day. You also will need a seed spreader to top dress the green. You sand base should have about a 6 inch depth. your soil depth should be 6 inches, sand again for another 6 inches, about a foot of gravel with your drainage system under it.

now that the layers are taken care of talk about grass, I am partial to rye grass. it rolls very well.
