Question:

Backyard snowboard box.?

Hey, I was going to make a backyard snowboard box so I can do all year jams. I was looking for using HDPE (High Density Polythene) for the top with 3/8" x 3/4" x 8' flat cold rolled steel edges. I found lots of different dimensions for the HDPE but still haven't decided yet. I want it to be a good 1-3 feet thick and a good 6-12 feet long. So if I could get a 3/8"x 2' x 8' that would be great. So far the only websites I have found that provided HDPE Shets, were 2 feet wide but 4 feet long so way to short. I was going to attach it with screws. But maybe different possibilities.

If you guys know of any great sites to buy the HDPE sheets from that would be great. Also, if you know of any better ways to make it please share.

P.S. - Mind my dimensions I'm 11 :P

I have two four foot jib boxes that Im not going to use anymore from this winter, if your on the east coast you can have em, for 20 bucks.

  2. You can get it, but it is very expensive.

Try the local plastic store - they may have some scraps.

    Good Luck

  3. I actually tried to build a box two times. Both of them broke within about 10 uses. What I would suggest that you do is go to Straight Line rails and check out their awesome selection. These are professional, made by hand, and will last for years to come.

    Hope this helps.
