  1. Since chloroplasts do not exist in bacteria, the chlorophyll is found bound in certain protein molecules throughout the cytoplasm.  Cyanobacteria are found in many fresh water food chains.  Nostoc and Oscellitoria are some that serve as a food supply for primary consumers.
