Bad Breath Help!!!!!!!

Ive almost had it for a year and it sucks.

I brush and floss 3 times a day. I went to the doctor and they said I don't have any gum infections or digestive problems.

The worst part is going in public. Its really embarassing and I don't like to go out that much because of it.

This weekend, my parents want me to go out with the family to someplaces and I don't want to suffer the same problem when I go out there.

Any suggestions on what I can do about that? thnx :]

  1. well i have heard that one of the signs of cavities is bad breath. try going to a dentist and having them look at it. use a good mouthwash. and carry around mints and gum! hope this helped!!!!

  2. Maybe you don't have bad breath......it's in your imagination....

(if your parents want to take you places, you must not be too bad!)

  3. Brushing and flossing too often may cause your gums to bleed ( I think 3 times is more than enough). There are 3 major reasons for bad breath:

    1. Gum disease / bad teeth

    2. Bad digestion

    3. Remnants of food in your mouth.

For the first problem, visit your dentist,

For the second one, see some other doctor (don't remember the correct name for that one),

For the third one, make sure your rinse your mouth with clean warm water after every food consumption (even if it's a tiniest snack, like a bunch of M&M's). I personally like to carry a bottle of Poland spring just for that.

Floss after you eat heavy/sticky foods like meat, and certain kinds of hard-leaf veggies that get stuck between your teeth. do not overfloss though.

Buy yourself a good tongue scraper. it's the best thing invented for mouth hygiene after the toothbrush. A thick layer of "sticky mess" on your tongue is a major source of bacteria in your mouth that causes bad breath, even after you brush. Clean your tongue thoroughly, but make sure you do not scratch it into bleeding.

And I find it very helpful to rinse with Listerine, at least twice a day. do not overrinse either.

Well minor details like choosing a quality toothpaste and a brush are important too;)

    Good luck.

  4. do you brush your tongue? or maybe some mouthwash before you go places.
