Bad Quality Video's? The little square pixles ?

Why when a video is in bad quality it has all the square pixles and i cant tell what it is at all? video video

if someone could explain this that would be nice

  1. You are either referring to things called artifacts, usually either due to bad compression, or simply trying to make the file size as small as possible (Such as with YouTube). The other reason could be that the media is slightly corrupted and the player is struggling to read the information, thus producing big square blocks of single colour.


  2. Pixelation is often due to some shortcoming. For example, when digital video is played, the decoder may not be able to keep up with the encoding rate, and the frames are pixelated.

    The framerate is too high for the decoder/computer/graphics card. To improve video and remove pixelation, either upgrade your video card, cpu speed, gpu speed/memory or reduce the video size to something smaller.
