Lately I have been having a bad serving day.

Monday- 8/10 serves missed. (then they asked us to hit 2 at a time then go to the end of the line) 6/6 (= very good.

Tuesday- 8/10 serves missed AGAIN. then when they asked us to hit it 3 times in a row then I missed one more for that.

Wednesday- 8/10 serves missed. then i missed 2

Thursday- 8/10 serves missed then i missed 1 for the other thing but i also think that they may have called some out.

But when we were scrimaging then I missed most of the balls :(

If I don't do well tomorrow I probably wont make the team. And I have worked WAYYYYY to hard for this.

Please can someone tell me how I can have a good serving day tomorrow.

NOTHING LIKE THIS

-Get Enough Rest

-Eat right.

I mean stuff that I'm doing wrong in volleyball. HELP!

  1. I also have been having bad serving days lately. I don't know if you're talking about overhand or underhand serving, but if you're talking about overhand a got a solution. What I found out that I was doing wrong, and maybe what you are doing wrong, was dropping my arm when I hit the ball. When I made contact with the ball, I always dropped my arm which caused the ball to go everywhere but over the net. So my coach told me to keep my arm up and straight when I made contact with the ball and that advice helped me control where my serves went. Hopefully this can help you with your serves.

  2. You are probably just turning your shoulders the wrong way or to far the direction you are hitting it.Also try following through with your serving arm it should end behind you.

  3. Try opening your hand more .

I had the same problem then my coach told me that and when i tried it the 1st time , it worked .

and if you are missing because they are going out of bounds , go to another area behind the line .

I miss a lot of serves when we scrimage, too .

  4. throw the ball straight up and hit it straight in the middle with an open hand. Always follow through!!!

If you cant do the over-hand serve then go with the under hand!!!
