  1. You CAN control your thoughts.  Lots of undisciplined people believe this is impossible but it isn't.  It isn't even hard to control your thoughts.  Every time that you think about something that is causing you problems, just say NO in your head and think about something else that is good.  You can train your thoughts to concentrate on only things that are good for you.

The Bible specifically tells us to control our thoughts in several places.  One example is Philippians 4:8 (King James Version)

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

  2. Certainly there are ways to help you resolve these issues ... but, most likely not without serious commitment and effort.

First off, in order to encourage you to believe that you can accomplish this, think back to the times before these troubles presented ... as well as the time when it went away for about a year.  There are reasonable and rationale explanations for that ... however, tapping into that may be difficult for you and, as such, you'll need some help to move from where you are currently -in your mind- to where you'd like to be.

If you are interested in the psychological underpinnings of what could possibly be troubling you, please take some time to read the information on the web links I posted below.

One is about "Positive Psychology" from the University of Pennsylvania's Positive Psychology Center and the other about "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy" (ACT). Both are certainly worth reading about and, quite possibly, considering as an intervention to help you.

At a minimum, try something ... bad memories and similar troubling thoughts and images should not prevent you from living a full and worthwhile life. Good luck.

  3. Remember, ghosts are not real. For spirits, I do believe in that. Some spirits are good, trying to tell you something, a past relative, friend, some are even bad. One thing I'm going to tell you to get over your fear. Remember, you'd be more than likely scared of bad ones, and if they were trying to hurt you or wanted to, they would have already. So... don't be scared. Unless, you're a bad person, have hurt, murdered, killed someone, etc..... then you have things to worry about, if not?! YOUR FINE!! Don't worry.
