Bad about disney?

what are some BAD things about the Disney company that you know of. and does anyone know what countries besides America that the company has influenced?

Lion King 3 was the worst cartoon ever to be produced, if i had my way i would terminate all those on the production team and burn every copy. I loved LK 1 and 2 but they totally ruined it with 3

Wow it's amazing how many Disney urban legends there are huh? I won't address them all; some are legit, but others are definitely the combination of a mistake and/or people seeing/hearing what they want to see and hear.

In the sources I've included a link to Snopes. They research various urban legends and write up short articles about them. Many of the Disney ones (Little Mermaid priest or poster) are on there. It's much nicer to see the real story behind it than listening to kids on the internet that "swear they saw it!" Sadly, even when confronted with the correct information, some naive people will still claim the legend is true. Oh well, what can ya do?

However, it's hilarious to me that people think Disney is intentionally hiding things in it's movies. As if the company as a whole has some sort of hidden agenda to corrupt the mind of today's youth. Give me a break. If the urban legends are indeed true, it is usually the result of one person or a tiny group acting on their own.

But, on to the real question: I think the worst thing about Disney is how big of a company they've become. They, like most big companies, have become slaves to the stock holders. They do a great job of sugar coating everything, but they're still out to make massive amounts of money. I think because of this, their innovation has declined somewhat.

I think a clear example of this is California Adventure. The Imagineers were given such an incredibly slim budget to work with that Disney is now going back and redoing much of the park after years of intense criticism. In the sources, I've included an article from Mouse Planet about Tokyo Disney Sea. The author compares TDS to California Adventure at a couple points (since they were built around the same time) and the differences in quality are astounding. Hopefully the re-do of California Adventure over the next couple years will put the park on a better course.  

Thankfully though, now what the old CEO (Michael Eisner) is gone, things seem to be looking up. There are a couple traditional animated movies on deck, the relationship with Pixar seems to be a lot better, and things are starting to get the time an attention they deserve.

Ultimately though, it's become less about what Walt would have done and more about what will make the decrepit old stock holders the most money.

Since Michael Eisner took over Disney has gone downhill fast. Their new CEO has a strong homosexual agenda and is dragging the company further away from the values Walt Disney envisioned . I use to love Disney, growing up in California, but now it's an empty shell of what it used to be.

In 1998, four cheetahs, a hippopotamus and two rhinos died in Disney’s new Animal Kingdom theme park. Also, within 6 months, two otters and a pair of West African cranes also died.

Over the years, several deaths have occurred at Disneyland in Anaheim, I was there recently, and I’ve photo documented the locations.

May 1964: 15 year old boy was killed standing up on the Matterhorn.

June 1966 19 year old kid was killed sneaking into Disneyland on the Monorail.

August 1967 17 year old boy killed on the now defunct People Mover.

June 1973 18 year old drowns trying to swim across the Rivers of America.

June 1980 another kid killed on the People Mover.

June 1983 another 18 year old drowns in the Rivers of America. Trying to reach Tom Sawyer Island in a raft, he hit a rock and fell out.

January 1984 a 48 year old woman stands up on the Matterhorn, and is killed.

December 1998 – Christmas Eve. The ship Columbia was being docked, when an overzealous employee tied a rope from the ship to a metal cleat, before it stopped moving. Zam POW. The cleat was ripped from the dock and wailed into the crowd nailing one employee in the leg, and a man in the head. Two days later, they declared him brain dead, and he was taken off life support.  I'm sure his family is very very well off right now.

He was a rabid Republican and anti Semite, and in the second World War did a lot to hurt Jews in Hollyweird, and was even worse during the McCarthy era, all public record. Also, only one of his daughters was a "natural" child, the other was adopted, the adopted one as she grew up was increasingly ignored by Walt and left VERY little of his estate.

the only bad things that i can think of about disney are the subliminal messages. they are funny to teenagers but bad for younger kids.

You can find the bad in anything or anyone if your looking for it. Me personally growing up had nothing but great memories that i still enjoy remembering. I plan on giving the same joys to My children through disney. Nothing beats a day at a Disney park.

and in the lion king, when the lion goes to lay down the grass flies up and spells out s*x!
