Bad babysitting price???

Question

Im 15 and im watching a 10 month old, 2 year old (not pottytrained) and a 5 year old. Im getting 5 an hour. Is this very low??

when i used to baby sit before i had kids i used to base it off where the parents worked... like if both parents worked and were just goin out for fun 10-15 or 20 an hour... but if it was a single mom low payin job leaving to do something then 20 flat not per hour no matter if she was gone for 5 hours still 20 flat

yeah, way too low. ask for around 7-9 dollars an hour. babysitting is considered a job, right? so you should be making atleast minuimum wage.

No actually that is good pay considering you are only babysitting (not daycare or nanny) and you are only 15. It doesn't matter if the 2 year old isn't pottytrained because most 2 year olds aren't.

seriously once i babysat to my principal and he paid me like 5 bucks for 2 hours! i was sooo pissed! i thought he was gonna give me at least 20 bucks! a*****e he only gave me 5!

unless it's family- i only get $3/hour when i babysit my cousins.

No actually I charged 5 an hour for 1 kid and 2 bucks per kid after that. so for the three you should get like 9 an hour. Until they hit like 7 or 8 cause they are basically independent from there.

I think it's low.  I would ask for 7.  I would pay you 7 if you were my babysitter maybe even a little more!
