Here in New York City people are riding bikes more than ever; however these are some of the worst bicyclist I have seen. Car drivers are quick to be blamed but what about bicyclists who:

Cut in front of you?

Don't obey lights?

Really don't know how to ride with traffic?

Ride into the car lane and slow traffic?

How is it by you?

  1. bicycles are consider vehicles which means they are suppose

to obey rules of the road

Ken gray is  wrong you are not suppose ride into opposing traffic

you are suppose to ride along side traffic

    (going the same way)

and they are allowed to use the left turn lane like  a car

just think of them as another vechile

  2. Its just as bad here in Ma. They seem to think that theyown the road and ride out in the middle of the road. They go though red lites, ride double (side by side) and when they want to turn, no signal, they just cut in front of you. I always thought that you were supposed to ride against the flow of traffic so you could see the oncoming traffic, also I was always taught to walk the bike across an intersection. Don't they have to obey the rules of the road just like everyone else?

  3. Bicyclists (and I am one) need to learn to follow the same traffic rules automobiles follow.

We are allowed to drive in the right lane with traffic and are required to use signals to show others we are stopping, turning or slowing down. Unfortunately many people dont know this, and are too lazy to learn....

Then again, the same goes for drivers, there are many who dont follow the rules...and many who DO, but dont realize bicyclists have the same rights to the road that you do - learn to share the road.
