Bad cold for 8 months...so far

I have had a cold for at least 8 months now, its not not exactly cold its just blocked nose. Especially when i go to bed, i get one side of my nose blocked. I have been to doctors and they gave me medicine which doesn't work for me.

Sounds like a Sinus problem, try going to your regular doctor, and see if he has any suggestions.

You may have a blocked sinus due to a polyp or perhaps you have allergies.

I suggest an ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist) also known as an otolaryngologist.  You may need an xray or cat scan of your head to determine what is causing the blockage. Good luck!

It sounds more like a sinus problem.  Go see an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) specialist.

It sounds like you may have allergies. Try a good over the counter antihistamine like Alavert or Zyrtec and see if the symptoms abate.

If that does not help, you may have a chronic sinus infection which needs to be treated with antibiotics. If you think this might be the problem, try and see an ear, nose and throat specialist for a diagnosis.

Colds normally run their course in 7 to 12 days, so it is highly unlikely that you have had a cold for 8 months.
