  1. Why do you assume working conditions are bad?  Are you just taking a position based on no information and now you want folks here to help you write your paper and pander to all the rumors and lies about McDonald's?

McDonald's treats their people very well.  Many people at the top of the organization have started as a crew person and worked up.  I've seen a number of folks on here who have or do work at McDonald's talk about their positive experiences.  They are paid a decent wage for the industry, they have flexible hours, they work with fun people, and as they move up in the company get good benefits.  McDonald's has a number of programs designed to help the community and their employees.

  2. I wouldn't think it would be any worse than any other fast food joint.  They are all pretty much the same ~ minimum wage, greasy clothing, and bosses that keep pushing you to work faster for little pay.

  3. it sucks to much grease not BS and not enough money

  4. They serve up bagels as shown in my avatar and call it food.

  5. like any fast food job sucky hours, pay and bad skin and nails and hair from all the grease

  6. Hubby and I both worked there in high school. Besides smelling like a stale french fry most of the time, we had acne on any exposed skin from the grease in the air. Miraculously, we both cleared right up within a week or two after quitting there! I could NEVER keep my hair clean enough. I also slipped quite frequently, as did many of our co-workers, because the floors in the back are always greasy from oil spatter. Not too many of us were seriously hurt, but I twisted my ankle twice and almost stuck my hand in the fryer once, trying to catch myself on something. They put those rubber mats with the holes in them on the floors, but it collects on those too, and it doesn't help much.

Besides that, they used to s***w with our requested time off and act like it was our fault, but that was just management in that store.

Hope this helps in your decision!
