  1. I am afraid of moths too but then i just constantly think it cant hurt me why would it want to hurt me?

  2. I have gotten over a lot of my fear of spiders by learning about them, and finding what is beautiful about them.  When my daughter was born, I didn't want to pass on my phobia, so I concentrated on what makes them special and unique.

You could try an immersion technique where you start calm and relaxed, and imagine a moth on or near you, and then try and stay calm while picturing that.

    Good luck!

  3. I'm afraid of spiders. The bigger ones with the longer legs are the real source of my problems, I've found. I took time to identify what it is I really don't like about them so that it's easier to avoid. It's taking time to confront them with the bug spray, but I'm working on it. Your fear's not going away so fast, that's because you're really truly afraid.

But it's good to know about your fear too. There is, fortunately, nothing deathly or harmful about moths besides torn clothes so you should be able to fight it soon :)

  4. Fears are best overcome by gradual immersion, especially if it is a non-harmful creature.  Start with pictures, check this site http://bugguide.net/node/view/82  type in moth in search to find more pictures.  Once pictures do not bother you, it is time to study live moths.  Any porch light at night should provide you with resting moths you can study. Do this continuously. You may be scared off from time to time when a new one arrives.  Take it in stride and go back and look again.  The time it will take is up to you and your determination to overcome this fear.  Someone instilled this fear in you, you can beat them and overcome it on your own.

  5. well when you see a fly, just image it a butterfly, works for me
