Bad grades in college and student diagnosed with a learning disability?

Lets say someone gets diagnosed with a learning disability while in college, Will that make a difference if they got a few bad grades before the diagnosis?

  1. It depends which state you live in. Since the person was diagnosed while in college i think by Law pending which state they live in the grades can be changed to a modified grade of a c-.


  2. I have never heard of a grade being "modified" because of a later diagnosis. Accommodations are never retroactive. Once you talk with someone at the disability services office and get accommodations in place, just re-take the course with your accommodations and try to bring up the grade.
