you see,my 20 year old lover is depressed and i think this game is not helping him much.i am not fat or toned but i pride myself on being strong and taking care of myself ya know?he has it in his head that i could turn on him too.the link i have pasted is a game of some kind that he downloaded off the net.as i understand from the story base of it,well you can read it for yourself.but should i remove the game from our computer?also i cant seem to win,as i said he thinks i will turn on him,so i said to him-'if you are sure of that then go to your mums so it wont happen'and then he gets tearful again and clinging to me as if i will leave him that second.

yeah maybe he does need abit of outside him from what a couple of people said but geez wont i be betraying his trust if i cant handle it?

  1. Sorry I'm stupid and don't understand...

You could turn him on? What's the problem? o_o

But don't delete this game just like that... talk about it instead of taking action, would you like someone to take some object you are fond of just like that without even talking about the matter?

btw I like a bit of gory bloody games myself once in a while... I'm not violent :D

  2. This is typical American hogwash.

Nobody wants to accept responsibility for their own actions and "pass the buck" [nice Americanism] to something else: parents, society, God, genes, upbringing, TV, films, rock music, video games, friends, peer pressure.

All of these are factors that influence behaviour true. But NONE cause behaviour.

You see this huge load of bullocks all the time in court.  A man rapes a child. In his house were some Adult Movies. Obviously the porno turned him into a rapist.  It did not. The potential existed before the man ever said his first words or saw a single film.

We are all potential homosexuals, rapists, thieves, Goths, Skinheads, racists, sexists, Christians, whatever, you name it, we can become it.

Should I blame my parents on my failures, or my own laziness?

Should I blame myself for my crimes or society?

Should you blame your lover's depression on the REAL cause, or the video games he's playing which for all you know might be Guitar Hero?

If I'm a murderer, should I blame God? the government? Society?

It's like that famous "Gee Officer Krupke" song in Westside Story. This is a great song, all kinds of stupid theories about delinquency and gang membership are given.  "I'm depraved on account I'm deprived". I love that line.

Here's a link for those who want the lyrics: http://www.lyricsdownload.com/westside-s...

Then you may remember the wonderful song sung by Sheila Broslowsky [sp?] on South Park Bigger Longer Uncut.

"Should we blame the parents? Should we blame the government?Should we blame society? Should we blame the images on TV? NO! Blame Canada!

That's right, it's Canada that caused your lover's depression! RIGHT!

All this load of bullocks is passing the buck.

If you are fat, try overeating and underexercising as the principle cause not your lack of love in childhood from your abusive father or the high calorie content of McDonald's food. Nobody forces you to eat that garbage.

I love the idiocy of the Columbine Massacre.  Some vengeful misfit teenagers decide on a course of revenge.

    Who to blame?

Here's some candidates that came out in court and on the news.

    Marilyn Manson

    Satan

    Parents

The crappy education system in the USA

    God

    Fate

    Lousy school security

Violent Video Games like "GTA: San Andreas"

Nudity and violence on the telly or in the cinema.

Notice something weird with this list which could grow to a light year's length in half-no time?

Everybody and everything possible are blamed EXCEPT the boys in question.

Amazing society you Yanks have.  But don't worry, this kind of bullocks goes on in the UK too.

  3. Violent video games cause people to be violent?

I have heard that rumor also. It doesn't explain however, how there are people who play violent video games and aren't violent.

  4. That link you posted says "Most of Enzai's gameplay consists of reading text and seeing stationary artwork, most of which is yaoi-themed."

That doesn't sound violent to me.  I think he just has some major psychological issues if he likes anime and is crying and wimping out all the time.
