Bad jaw and migraine ?

hi i have been to the dentist 2 weeks ago and they said my jaw is badly cracking and i need to see a surgeon i also have had really bad migraines on the same side will it be connected or not i have been feeeling really tired too i have been taking loads of different painkillers but they are not working what can i do please help it is really painfull

  1. low dose diazepam is what i get for this. 2mg x 4 daily. go see your doctor.. your migraines are connected to this and a muscle relaxant for a short peroid can help until you get a more detailed examination.

    Yes i would think that the two are very likely to be connected. My advice would be to see a good Chiropractor, I have treated many similar conditions, and usually the source of both problems is restricted movement in the facet joints of the upper cervical spine (top of the neck).

  3. I would think that your headaches are connected to the problem with your jaw. Have you been refered to a hospital yet. Try to cut down on the painkillers and use an anti inflamatory cream such as voltarol at the back of your jawline, about 3 times a day, sometimes this can help. Try not to chew anything to hard like toffees.
