I'm 13 years old. I've had lower back pain for about 4 or 5 months, maybe more. It's been constant, non stop. It hurts the most when i have to stand for over 20 minutes. It hurts a lot when i have to sit up straight for a long time too. It gets real stiff and i end up cracking it to temporarily relieve the pain. But it ends up coming back within 10 minutes. The back pain sometimes causes bad shooting pains in my legs. I do have a pretty bad slouch and i don't drink milk. I also sleep on my stomach, but only sometimes, not too often. Could that be the problem? What else could it be?

  1. an icy hot patch can help relieve the pain. since you don't like to drink milk you should take a calcium supplement to make sure you getting your daily allowance. maybe this is more of an issue you need to discus with your doctor. He might know what this could be. sleeping on your stomach has nothing to do with this. i sleep on my stomach all the time. have you done some kind of workout or exercise before all this? you could of pulled something and because it's on your back it never got a good chance to fully heal because of all the walking and stretching you do normally.     this may be weird to ask but, have you gotten your period yet? it could be a symptom that's saying it's on it's way. My recommendations are that you should visit your doctor to make sure nothing is serous. i hope you get better.

  2. Might be a disc problem. You don't necessarily have to fall to have something be wrong. Tell your Doctor you want an MRI done.

  3. it may be menstrual cramps.

    do you have your period?
